Compensating
Yamaha YEP642 Professional Bb/F 4-valve Compensating Euphonium

Key Bb/F, bore .591-.661", bell 11.8" with large flare, available in either laquered brass or silver plate

This top-of-the-line euphonium features a compensating system for superior intonation. The hand-lapped Monel pistons are resistant to corrosion and are an ideal choice for professional instruments which must retain precise fit and smooth action over many years. A hand-hammered yellow brass bell produces a slightly more intense tone with quick response and extra presence. The compensating system found on the 642 ensures accurate tuning on all notes throughout the instrument's range, particularly in the difficult low register. The combination of the bell taper and leadpipe is designed for greater projection, control and response, and the true and centered intonation makes this great euphonium even better!

Large top-of-the-line euphonium. Silver with gold trimming. This is a wonderful euphonium. Plays as well as my Hirsbrunner. Excellent intonation. Beautiful sound. For the truly discerning euphonium player.

Yamaha YEP321 Intermediate Bb 4-vlave Euphonium

Key Bb, bore .571", bell 11", available in either laquered brass or silver plate

Excellent for school use, the YEP321 has a fourth valve that extends range and helps intonation. The excellent intonation helps foster a feel for correct pitch in beginning players, and the responsiveness assists in learning the phrasing of the euphonium.
